Measuring the viscosity of pulp manually takes time and exposes operators to hazardous chemicals. Perhaps you have chosen not to introduce automation, because no automated instrument could live up to the precision requirements in your laboratory.
Precision and automation are now available with the RHEOTEK RPV-1 Viscosity system. In fact, the automated instrument is more precise than a manual measurement, because the automation reduces operator influence on the test and ensures compliance with the test method through all the stages of the process.
The RHEOTEK RPV-1 Viscosity system is pre programmed with a set of standard methods. These include ISO 5351:2004, SCAN CM 15:99, ASTM D 1795, TAPPI 230 – OM94, PAPTAC G.24P, IEC 60450 and ASTM D 4243. Other methods can be included on request.
In order to further reduce operator time and operator exposure to hazardous chemicals, the RHEOTEK RPV-1 Viscosity system is available with several optional modules, including auto sampler, sample preparation and sample agitation.
